Barbara Siemens - Vancouver Piano Teacher
Barbara Siemens has been a piano teacher in Vancouver for over twenty years. She has provided piano lessons to students at all levels, from beginner to advanced. Her "keys to the piano" approach combines positive reinforcement with practical techniques for learning how to play the piano. Ms. Siemens’ goal is to give each student the physical and artistic skills necessary for a lifetime of musical enjoyment.
Ms. Siemens experience is supported by the following qualifications:
- Master of Arts, Historical Musicology
- Bachelor of Music, Piano
- ARCT Performer’s and Teacher’s Diplomas
- RCME Senior Examiner

Piano Lessons - Structure
- Repertoire from an appropriate beginner method or RCM Grade
- Technical exercises
- Sight-reading and ear training
- Introduction to improvisation
- Suitable contemporary pieces
- Exam and festival participation is encouraged but not required
